Founded in 2001 by Ryan Sharpe, The Get-Well Gamers Foundation annually served more than a million children with illnesses and disabilities at more than 250 hospitals and treatment facilities worldwide. The Get-Well Gamers Foundation leveraged donations from video game developers, publishers and the public to provide gaming care packages to assist with pain management and provide stress-relieving entertainment to patients. Gaming goods included video games, consoles and accessories.
Effective immediately, AbleGamers has absorbed The Get-Well Gamers Foundation’s assets, allowing for ongoing support of their established network of care facilities. AbleGamers carries on The Get-Well Gamers Foundation mission through its own Expansion Pack program, which includes comprehensive care packages of assistive gaming technologies donated to disabled gamers, complete with setup, usage, and maintenance support.
