Thanks to HP - Lebron James is bringing more than just talent... Miami and a bunch of other major cities that is. On March 2nd, the Lebron James Family Foundation & HP announced they would contribute to the intelligence of our nation's future by providing them with the technology to help them achieve success. 1,000 computers will be donated to 59 Boys & Girls Clubs across America - Miami, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Cleveland, Connecticut and of course, Akron, OH - his hometown & the location of my last project.

This isn't the first time Lebron invests in education, last year he blessed after-school programs in Akron with 1,000 HP computers. Stories like this are what really make me smile - seeing someone literally not forget about the 'little people' even after he's made it big. "Our goal is to empower young people and having access to state-of-the-art computers and technology ensures that children will have the tools they need to achieve success", said Lebron, and I agree with him 110%. Students will be able to do their homework on the PCs, learn about tech, develop the skills they need to compete, and prepare for the world of work.

“We’re delighted that our technology will help Boys & Girls Clubs members pursue their passions and learn necessary skills that will allow them to succeed in a more connected and collaborative world,” said Satjiv Chahil, advisor, Global Market Development, Personal Systems Group, HP.

(I should've posted this sooner - but I forgot...better late than never and today is the perfect day!)
