Our first PodCast Experience 3-21-09

A couple of weeks ago Mike emailed Nina and myself about a potential opportunity to participate in a pod cast. I quickly signed up because I had never done one, but once I found out it was a gaming site I had my doubts. First off, I’m not much of a gamer, nor have I played one in a while. I was also apprehensive because most of the people were out on the west coast, and it was going to take place at 10 pm – NYC time. It conflicted w/ my Saturday nights’ plans! I almost bailed because I had to get ready to party w/ my mejorcita, but Nina called me to touch base about it. By then it was 8:50 pm. I still hasn’t washed my hair – but I couldn’t leave Nina out w/ the wolves so I downloaded Skype and Audacity and told her I’d be on it.

We were soooo nervous – it was so funny. I was using my personal computer and tried using the VT mini to record the pod cast but it was too much to handle – I couldn’t position it in a high enough place to get good lighting…we texted each other back and forth and eventually got the hang of it and had a blast.

When they started discussing current games being played my response was something along the lines of ‘Sorry dudes, the only game I’m playing is the dating game and I’m winning’. Sa-weet! They laughed, I laughed, and then they went off on their gaming business.

I didn’t stay on for the whole two hour pod cast because I had some festivities to attend, but Nina, the trooper did.

Check it out here. I somehow managed to download some funky software so you can barely hear me because they had to edit some noise that kept on appearing on my clip…it’s actually really funny to listen to. It goes something like this: Blah, blah, blah (insert word here), blah, blah, blah…enjoy!

The pod cast was a lot of fun to record and I’m hoping one day we can have our own on the site – woohoo!
