Project Runway – Lifetime’s hit TV show hosted by Heidi Klum – had a nice surprise tonight. Tonight contestants were challenged with creating fabrics using HP’s TouchSmart PC. The challenge was a first of its kind and was complemented with the divine presence of the oh-so-beautiful Vivienne Tam – who works closely with HP and their beautifully designed minis (I want oneeeeeeeee). She also uses HP’s TouchSmart PC when designing her own fashion line.
Having used HP’s TouchSmart last summer, I can say that it definitely allows you to ‘do’ more in every single sense imaginable. You can squeeze, slide, pinch, fling – pretty much anything and everything. Imagine how much you could do if you tried creating your own clothes?? As the Editor in Chief, I was tasked with reading over all of our product reviews that were eligible for our Editor’s Choice Award, and I had to pick a winner.
Only one product per month is eligible to win our Editor’s Choice award. Only two products were eligible this month, the Sony Webbie HD camera, and the HP Mini Vivienne Tam Edition (after all we are a new site).
I have toted the wonderful HP mini VT edition Netbook for the last month or so and in the month it has probably traveled more than most Americans. It ventured to Dallas, to Puerto Rico, back to Dallas, to Orlando, back to Dallas, then back to NYC, back to Dallas one more time, and the last stop was NYC before heading back to the lovely offices of HP’s PR firm.
It sat in my apartment for 2 weeks before I actually unboxed it, and this wasn’t because I didn’t want to play with it – it was because I was out for the count with the flu and bronchitis. Looking back I should’ve taken advantage of it, because I was literally in bed for those two full weeks, but then again who would’ve watched all that reality television on VH1.
I (Radiris) was on my way to the Britney Spears concert in Tampa, FL you know the one where she complained about her wardrobe, and while on the road I was using HP mini VT Edition. Check out the video we shot below.
