Wii Fit Plus Demo Days hosted by GameStop 4/25 & 5/2

by on April 21st, 2010

GameStop, the world’s largest video game and entertainment software retailer, in conjunction with Nintendo experts, will be hosting Wii Fit Plus Demos Days across the nation in 100 stores. Nintendo experts will showcase the Wii Fit Plus’ newest features and latest enhancements that will transform the way you work out.  It doesn’t matter how old you are, you can be ‘new’ or ‘old’ to enjoy it.  New exercises and games will increase the level of ‘fun’ and workouts will become more customizable.

Routines will be geared toward personal fitness goals, or specific ‘hard to reach’ target areas (I had to say that).  It reminded me of a time that I went to see a personal trainer – the first question, and I think the last question I asked was “If I point to the area that I want to ‘fix’, can you just tell me how?”. He laughed, and I know he thought it was cute – but I was serious :)

Review: Hyperkin Baseball Bat

by on March 31st, 2010

When I got this Hyperkin Baseball bat set in the mail I got flashbacks of how bad I was as a child playing softball. Fortunately with my Wii Sports I rock at it and there are no balls flying towards my face (I have received a black eye from playing Lacrosse in college).

The Wii Baseball Bat with Sound Plus lets you feel and hear every swing of your baseball bat as though you were hitting home runs at AT&T ballpark (Go Giants!). The Hyperkin Wii Baseball bat is made from a soft foam material so you won’t kill your TV if you loose your grip or in excitement throw your bat down running imaginary bases (I so would do that)! Below is me testing it out; I have to admit I almost felt like a baseball pro plus the sound made it believable.

Also this is made for all ages so it’s great for the entire family. It retails for around 24.99 and I believe it’s a great accessory for your Wii…so get it cutegeekers! Below are the product specs…

  • Internal Sound Plus™
  • Soft foam material is safe, durable and fun
  • Compatible with Wii Motion Plus
  • Includes two baseball bats and two handles
  • White color

Review: I am cheating on my PS3 with my new Wii

    by on February 17th, 2010

wii-hardwareI am quite the loyal gal; in fact it took me years to bow down to HP products after bleeding the Dell blue  for so long.  My first gaming system back in the 80′s was the first Nintendo (yeah I saved the princess in Mario brother’s, ran my ass off on Track and Field, and vastly improved my shooting aim from Duck hunt).

I had played  Wii Sports  a year ago plus again at my cousins place recently and for the first time ever I got over 150 on bowling (now I am up to 200), kicked booty on virtual tennis and can box anyone out of my virtual boxing ring. After realizing I rock at the game I made it a goal to get it at some point.  After 1.5 years of owning a PS3 I got a Wii as a second gaming console. It has become quite the addiction. New Super Mario Bros for the Wii (less than a month away!)

    by on October 21st, 2009

The last time I ever felt this excited during the holidays was during Christmas in 1990. I was 5 and the one thing I felt like I’d die without was the gift my mom got me. I had to search high and low for this picture at my mother’s house, but I knew once I found it – you’d understand why I decided to post.

For the ol’ skoolers who kept their Nintendo & Super Nintendo games – this is for you!

    by on April 17th, 2009

I was flabbergasted last night when an amazing college buddy of mine told me there is now a game console available that has two slots – one for Nintendo games, and one for Super Nintendo games…

The first thing that came to mind was “DONKEY KONG COUNTRY!!!!” and then I wondered how much it cost so I asked my future husband, Google, and the product is surprisingly extremely inexpensive ($30-60).

Has anyone heard of this or used it? Check it out on amazon.com.
