Today Nextar announced an adorable new media player with a big 2.8 inch TFT display (wide screen baby!) that is only .25 inches thick and only weighing 7 ounces.

With a form factor that is so thin us ladies can pretty much take it with us anywhere, and if you are into wearing tight jeans like I am, it would fit perfectly into your pocket. I know Cecilia would be happy about that.

You can use the MA809 as a music player, video player and even photo album. I who enjoy taking pictures (Just visit my facebook page to see) could easily whip the MA809 and tease my co workers with pictures from my trip to Puerto Rico two weekends ago. (I’m a tease I know)

“The new Nextar portable media player comes with everything users need to enjoy their own play-anywhere personal home theater,” remarked Eddy Zheng, Nextar founder. “Crisp, clear audio with MP3 and WMA file support; 400×240 image resolution shown in 16:9 wide-screen format, FM tuner with FM recording, integrated voice recorder, and built-in speaker are all included. It even has stopwatch and calendar capabilities. Anyone who enjoys the latest in personal AV products will love this player.”

The MA809 will be available in Q2 (April – July) and will retail for of $99.99 for 2GB capacity, $119.99 for 4GB capacity, and $149.99 for the 8GB capacity model.

I personally would buy the 2GB model since you can pretty much by a microSD card with 16 GB of storage on it for 30 dollars. 16 GB and 2 GB = 18 GB more than enough sorage for me, and for about the same price as the 8 GB model. However if you are a huge music junkie the 8GB and 16 GB microSD card would be a good affordable option for you.
