Indiegogo Campaign: The Pup Connected Pocket Scanner

by on November 22nd, 2016

I forgot all about scanners since I work from home and don’t really have a need for it. Then again this would be ideal for those like me who travel and go to a lot of Tech Conferences. I seem to always loose the business cards while at conventions furthermore I do not want to come back from a trip to scan individual cards one by one.

Introducing Pup’s Pocket Connected Scanner

Pup Scan have been collaborating with a strong team of engineers and designers for 18 months. One perk about about the Pup Scan is that it gives users the ability to connected to your favorite clouds. It is tiny, lightweight, wireless, with a long-lasting battery. It automatically takes care of every step, from your sheet of paper to its destination on the internet.

I hope to get a a review unit for Cutegeek and Hi-Tech Chic before CES. Till then keep checking back from me for a full product review!

Mu’s Indiegogo Campaign and their Share & Win Contest

by on March 7th, 2016

Mu SoloIt’s not a SXSW without a few new Kickstarter or IndieGoGo Campaigns. This year it is Mu; “The World’s 1st Smart Eye for Toys & Legos” IndieGoGo campaign (#Mu4Toys).

I wasn’t a Lego girl partly because my little brothers would leave them all over the place. If you ever stepped on a Lego you know exactly how I feel (OUCH). However I do like to spy and this would be a fun product to utilize.

Mu (Moo) lets anyone create REAL autonomous robots without a hand-controlled remote. A toy with Mu installed can see with its eye and do many intelligent things. There are three different ways to pair Mu with a toy body (most of which can be sourced easily online or in your local stores). Mu users can use it with Mu action figures, Mu on remote controlled toys (like the Hexbug remote controlled series), Lego Mindstorms EV3 and the new Mu with its own body.

Robot

Currently they are having a Share & Win Contest. To enter, use the share links found on their IndieGoGo campaign to share Mu4Toys on Facebook/Twitter or via emails. Every day they will randomly draw one winner to receive a FREE customized Mu (color of you r choice). Mu will also do a random drawing every six days for the chance to receive a FREE customized Mu 5-pack (color of your choice). No purchase necessary.

Supporters can find the campaign here and they only have 7 days left of their IndieGoGo campaign. To donate or looking to purchase a Mu click here.

Here’s also a video on how Mu works  and below is more technical description of the Mu.

Best of Luck Cutegeekers!

Indiegogo Campaign: ZUS – The Truly Smart Car Charger & Car Locator

by on October 27th, 2015

Copy of pic_01
This has happened to me allot. Short story one day I parked my car in a parking garage in San Francisco that was rather large and every floor looked the same.

I couldn’t find my car, a sudden panic came over me. I did what normal people do started pressing the lock button on my keys (and some people laughed at me wondering why I’m walking round a garage aimlessly). There was no “beep” beep” which meant my car was out of range.Product technical specs

Finally 5 floors later I started pressing the “panic” button on my keys and found it but man what a huge stress that could have been avoided. After that I started taking pictures of where I park with my phone but I always thought there has to be a better way to find my car.

Intruducing Nonda’s “Zus” world’s smartest car charger and locator. At first glance I thought it was a tad bulky however the USB ports and the locator is exactly what I need recently. Zus offers maximum AMP output for your device and pairs with your GPS to remember your location as soon as your car engine is turned off. It works on both iOS and Andrioid and the interface looks like it’s easy to just plug and play. Continue Reading…

Favorite Website of the Week: IndieGoGo.com

by on December 31st, 2012

Today I used IndieGogo.com for the first time. IndieGogo.com is a platform for people to use to raise money. Entrepreneur’s use it to launch their concepts, runners use it to fund their races and I’m using it to hopefully pay for a fellowship I recently got selected to participate in.

It is very easy to create a campaign and there are no application fees or wait times to go ‘live’. I submitted my fundraising page in less than an hour, and was guided through the process by hints and checklists. If you’re wondering how Indiegogo.com makes money, its through charging a percentage of the fees collected. The fees vary from 4-9%, or if you’re non-profit. After comparing Indiegogo.com to other competitive sites, I came to the realization that it was the cheapest to use. If you are associated with a non-profit, the fees are even cheaper, which is very nice.
