Holy Moly – AblePlanet Noise-Canceling Headphones for only $69!

by on November 16th, 2011

Okay – so I am almost freaking out – but not in a bad way, in a really good way, because I’m so freaking excited!!! Thanks to GroupOn - this deal is on!

AblePlanet makes just as good, if not better, headphones than Bose – yea – I said it.  Their stars on the front are also cuter so yea…if you need the cute factor, forget bose and go with AblePlanet.  The sound quality compares to no other and they are very comfortable to wear – even for long periods of time. I own these headphones and while I’d be pretty pissed if I purchased them at full-price, I didn’t, they were a gift :)

These headphones are amazing. I’ve owned them for over 2 years but always used them on the road.  They make zoning out – more real, especially if you’re commute to work is done on a plane.

There are 2 days left to purchase these!!! Jump on it!!  They are worth over $250! Oh and there is free shipping…this is an awesome gift option…i’m just saying…

Yurbuds, A Runner’s and Fit-Geek’s Dream

by on March 2nd, 2011

While in Vegas for the CES conference this past Janurary, I was introduced to Yurbuds. I’m not a tri-athlete…yet, but I do try to exercise on a regular basis so naturally, I was very excited to test these out. Plus I’m always looking for the best and newest headphones.

What do you get when you buy Yurbuds?
·   Yurbuds Ironman Series Earphones – Fitted with red yurbuds – Light style
·   Extra red yurbuds – Intense style
·   Red Ironman nylon carrying case – Zippered pouch
·   Ironman trading cards – Inspirational stories of personal triumph
·   Quick-Start guide – Installation and care instructions

When I first opened them up, I immediately noticed the soft plastic that they’re made of. It’s for extra soft comfort! :D I used the Quick-Start guide to see how to use them, its a small card that shows a pictorial view of how to angel the headphones into your ears. At first I thought, “man these are too big for me, I’ll never like them.” Half a song into my jog, I forgot they were there. I’m not even exaggerating! It was like I was in my own little music room! They didn’t move, I could hardly feel them, they were plain amazing. Continue Reading…

Review : Aerial 7 Chopper 2 Multi Device Stereo Headphones

by on April 6th, 2010

I had the chance to review the  http://www.aerial7.com/product/CHOPPER2/HYPE/my first review and I’m excited to say it was like opening a present on christmas.

1. I have crappy earphones
&
2. Music is a big part of my life

The Chopper 2 are the ultimate experience of commodity, it eliminates the hassle of carrying around a Bluetooth and headphones  at the same time, they have a built in microphone which is just grand. Headphones with a cord that fits either the original iPhone or the iPhone 3G, 3GS, Blackberry as well, also provides you with a hang up bottom for your calls. You also receive in the box: A soft carry case in very cool colors (for fashionistas like me who carry their music around), adjustable ear pieces  and a headband in bright green and grey.

I honestly can say I’ve never seen this and was looking forward to trying them when I found out they were used by famous DJ’s such as Josh Madden Kid Fresh (Aerial 7 Ambassador’s) http://www.aerial7.com/ambassadors/josh/

They are very comfortable to wear due to their padding on the top part and earphones which totally isolate every single sound around you. They have a very sharp sound on Skype, iTunes and while using my cellphone – providing ultimate clearness and audio quality at it’s best on all three.  Overall if your looking for something comfortable and best sound quality you should get these. They retail for $90.00 which I consider a good price for the quality of the product, you can find them online at : http://www.aerial7.com/product/CHOPPER2/HYPE/.

by on April 2nd, 2010

Shire

I had the opportunity to review the Shure SRH750DJ Professional DJ Headphones. I am not a DJ though I believe I have great music taste:-).  See the unboxing here. I do however have a turn table and enjoy listening to my orginal vinyl (recently found “Thiller” in the dollar bin). I put on the Shure SRH750DJ Professional DJ Headphones and WOW! The best sound I have had so far for head phones! The Shure SRH750DJ Professional DJ Headphones were so great in sound quality I couldn’t even turn  them up full blast for sake of my hearing.

Brilliant Women in Technology: Meet Samantha Sobota

by on March 15th, 2010

SAM

In this economy more and more folks are starting up their own businesses however what is cool about Samantha Sobota of Freq Industries is that she started it at the young age of 21. Below is my interview with Samantha and a little more information about her company Freq Industries.

Freq Icon Stamp[1]

-Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background?

One thing my friends would tell you is that I’m a workaholic. I dislike not working or having things to complete- I’m always up for a challenge!

I went to school for a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Music and minor in Women’s studies. I planned to become a symphonic Tubist.

During my time in school I’ve been through all types of jobs- retail, warehousing, private teaching.

I dropped out in my 4th year to start Freq Industries and bring my dream products to life.

-How did you get started in technology, or at your current position?

I have been working with technology all my life with strong influence from my dad who, being an electrical engineer, loved to tinker with anything he could get his hands on

As a kid, I was always building something new- homemade gliders, remote controlled cars from scratch, custom train sets, boats, you name it- I tried to build it! Continue Reading…

Review: JBL ROXY On-Ear Headphones Reference 430

by on July 15th, 2009

the boxStyle, meet sound.

I remember reading about this collaboration and I quickly imagined some cool products with superb sound quality.

My current bathing suit for the summer of 09 is from Roxy and my old iPod dock is the round one JBL produced – so yea, I know what I’m talking about.

I was psyched when they asked CuteGeek to review earbuds and headphones…I’m a headphone wearer so Nina got the earbuds and I saw them and my mouth just opened.

First off – the box is really nice. Bright colors, clear, nice designs, etc…very “llamativo” (that’s a word used for things that are eye-catching or grabbing…it definitely grabs your attention). The headphones were bright orange and pink. I looked at the box for about a week, before actually taking them headphones out, and I’m not sure why, but I can almost admit that I was intimidated.

Review: iHarmonix’s Platinum ev-Series

by on April 9th, 2009

dsc004411Sixty-dollars for earphones? That was my first reaction when I checked out iharmonix’s Platinum ev-Series in-ear earphones. I mean, I’ve got tons of earphones sitting around at home and in the office. Don’t they come free with a purchase of an iPod or other MP3 player? Why would I pay that much for earphones?

Then I put them on. Ok…you’ve sold me iharmonix. These aren’t just regular earphones that you can get for free or pay less than $10 for. The first thing I noticed when I put them on is that they blocked out quite a bit of noise, even without the music going. Of course, it’s not a BOSE Noise Cancelling Headphone, but it offers a small amount of noise reduction and is much more convenient to carry around than one of those bulky noise cancelling headphones.
