HTC and Microsoft’s Latest Collaborations Unveiled Today

Minutes ago Peter Chou, CEO of HTC and Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft, unveiled the latest phones to hit the HTC portfolio – Windows Phone 8X (shown to the right) and 8S. You guessed it – these two phones come equipped with the latest Windows Phone 8 OS, along with Beats Audio (exclusive to HTC), an even more advanced camera and some funky colors to spice things up.

The cameras, HTC’s first, will be a 2.1MP, 88° ultra-wide angle front-facing camera that supports 1080p video capture. The rear camera sports an 8MP CMOS sensor with backside-illumination (BSI) for improved low-light performance and a dedicated imaging chip. You’ll be able to capture pics even if the phone is locked, through the physical shutter button.
