I just returned from the Go Further with Ford event in Detroit. My first day there we checked in and we were off to a dinner at Ford Field with Bill Ford as the Keynote Speaker. On my way there I sat next to Albert from Ford who educated me on all the new features and features I didn’t know Ford vehicles had like hands free perpendicular parking, traffic jam and blind spot assistance with the BLIS® with Cross-Traffic Alert.

Wednesday I experienced the Wii U firsthand – and by the end of it i was literally say weeee-you! Boy was I thankful it was over – and I mean that in the best way! It was my most fun experience gaming – along with the best workout. I am still in so much pain today and it was all from this one, almost 3 minute, experience (beat that fellas!).
The Wii U is launching black and white consoles. It’s control, the Wii U Gamepad has a 6.2 inch resistive screen, stylus and motion sensors. It’s bigger than a ds, so try to remember the days of ‘Game Gear’ and just sprinkle some Hi-D, better positioned buttons and a whole lot of cool features. Continue Reading…

Yes – it’s exactly what it sounds like – FREE stuff, hundreds of free trials and offers.
When I come across sites like HeyItsFree.net, it reminds me of all the great gems scattered around us, that we just don’t take advantage of. Actually, what it really reminds me of is FastWeb.com and the plethora of scholarships that I did NOT apply for when going for my undergraduate degree.
Taking advantage of coupons, free deals, etc. doesn’t mean you’re cheap, poor, or any other words with potentially negative connotations. If you take advantage of these opportunities, yes, they are opportunities, you are doing yourself some good by saving money, getting things you may need, and learning about new products and things out there.
Freebies are a very effective way of companies and people advertising and getting the word out on something so go on and support – take advantage! Check the site out 🙂

Radiris from cutegeek and Michael from hardwaregeeks have had the opportunity to test out fords; in fact Michael went to this event last year. They decided it was time they send an OG blogger of cutegeek out to write about the Further with FORD Experience event in…wait for it…Detroit. I’ve never been but apparently it is hot so I do not need my San Francisco staple of scarfs and layers.
Last year Michael Reyes got to drag race and I am guessing from the agenda that I will be doing the same on Thursday. Though this southern girl can’t stray from heals I do have my racing outfit picked out including racing tennies. To be honest if I can just experience the self parking option I would be happy. Till this day I still cannot parallel park or back up…so racing should be a unique experience!
Allot of my friends have been giving me ideas and questions to ask FORD and I love it. If it wasn’t for them I would be lost since I’m not a mom nor do I drive daily (yes, I’m a city girl). I’ve also had a hand full of friends that said I should have gone to Malibu and drive go karts for practice.

I just got the agenda for the trip on Tuesday at FORD. It looks like I will be racing cars on Thursday therefore all the more reason to wear racing shoes. The evening events look like fun as well and it says dressy casual- NICE.

I am stoked about my trip to FORD for the Go Further with FORD Trend Conference. This morning I checked out the TECHNOLOGY page on FORD’s site. I have to say I am interested to see how these features work while driving. Check out the SYNC® and SYNC® with MyFord Touch®, I hope I get to test this out!

Hello my fitgeeks! It’s been a while, but I’m back. A little move, a little job change…life had temporarily taken me away.
Even though things have been pretty hectic, I still manage to squeeze in some exercise here and there. Which brings me to the Nike Training Club, my new love (app love). 😉 I LOVE THIS THING. It has four choices for exercise sets: Get Lean, Get Toned, Get Strong and Get Focused. Each of these features 3 different difficulty levels for beginner through advanced fitgeeks.

Finally I have been wishing for this since 2005! I wish I needed an MP3 Player and not so reliant on my iPhone but then again my iPhone can’t go 3 meters in the water! I am still waiting for blue tooth I can use in the shower or pool so I can multi-task with conference call or normal calls with pals…

I’m from Texas and my family mostly has owned FORD Trucks and SUVs, even my cousin’s name is Ford. I even had a crush on a boy in high school purely because he drove a Mustang (I was young what can I say?).
When I got the request to test out FORD’s in Michigan I jumped on the opportunity. I am excited to say as of last night I have my flight/hotel confirmation and will be at FORD June 26th-28th. I will be using my social media hat to the max those few days so please keep checking in on www.cutegeek.com, FB or twitter @nrpena, @cutegeek.
Here is the highlights from last years event just to get you all excited! STAY TUNED CUTEGEEKERS! Continue Reading…

I am the biggest event planner in my world – maybe not yours, but in my mine, hell yea…and I’m always struggling to organize events with my friends because they’re super cool, smart, amazing, ambitious and…busy.
