Ok the Mark Hurd thing that dude had to defend himself. He never slept with that chick and she claims she didn’t mean for him to get fired. Please she was after money and he needed to protect his image and his family. So fudge the HP board for being upset about that. Now if the dude slept with the chick etc I would be upset too but I think this chick was out for money.

Googles saying is “Don’t do evil” when with all do respect to someone I know that works for them, it should be “We do evil”

I use an iPhone and I don’t agree with those stats. I think iPhone users actually let me filter my statement a bit.

I think Apples male userbase exagerates a lot.

On Hurd – just because he didn’t sleep with her, it doesn’t mean he didn’t do anything wrong. I’ve heard folks at HP have a pretty low opinion of him anyway, so although he cut costs and turned the company around – he may not have done it to the benefit of his employees.

On Google-Verizon – Well, technically it’s don’t “be” evil. Maybe you can DO evil things without BEING evil in general? Again – speculation.

On Hurd: I had a PR person she told me once that sometimes an executive would call her at 3 or 4 am say they want to drink in the bar of the hotel they are in and or go to a club or dinner and it was company policy that she go to keep him company, unless their spouce is in town with him on the business trip.

My guess is, this women for hurd was just that. His personal dinner mate etc.

HP says they concluded in their investigation there was no sexual harrasment and it seemed from what I ready that it was more of a mis-use of corporate funds.

As for people hating him at hp. Who wouldn’t he laid off so many people but I mean what company didn’t lay off people over the past 5 years? HP is just lucky they didn’t lay off as many people as IBM for example.

As for the google doing evil thingy, thanks for correcting me :) don “be” evil. So in theory if this deal with Verizon can be considered evil after the fact, wouldn’t that mean they are being evil?

No offense to google, I am a big fan, use to be a huge one. But once that IPO went public their attitude on things changed. I honestly want to know how much Google STock verizon owns. Maybe that has something to do with the deal.
