Random Googling Just Got a Whole Lot Cooler With the iPad

by on April 6th, 2010

Boyfriend: I want an iPad.

Me: Why?

Boyfriend: So we can randomly Google at our coffee table.

Me: [Bewildered look on my face.]

After that conversation, we ended up at Best Buy because, according to Twitter, Best Buys across Southern California had not yet sold out of the iPad it’s first day out in the market.  Well, those folks on Twitter were wrong, so we marched over to the Apple store on the next block and waited in line (with only one person ahead of us).  When my boyfriend told the sales person he wanted an iPad, he opened the back door to grab one, and I caught a glimpse of a stack of iPads waiting to be bought.  “Hmm…” I thought, “Doesn’t look like this thing will take off.” Continue Reading…

Review: Callpod a Chargepod for your portable devices!!

by on April 6th, 2010

chargepod_2

I am one of the worst people when it comes to charging my consumer devices.  I am dumb founded each time my devices run out of batteries as if they are all the energizer bunny that keeps going…and going…and going… I think the reason this always happens to me is due to the fact I have so many different plugs for so many different electronics.

Alas the nice people at Callpod sent me the Chargepod which charges up to six different devices with one outlet you can plug into either your car via an input charge power or an input AC electrical power outlet. I unboxed it in my car because I thought it would be more fun! Continue Reading…

Review : Aerial 7 Chopper 2 Multi Device Stereo Headphones

by on April 6th, 2010

I had the chance to review the  http://www.aerial7.com/product/CHOPPER2/HYPE/my first review and I’m excited to say it was like opening a present on christmas.

1. I have crappy earphones
&
2. Music is a big part of my life

The Chopper 2 are the ultimate experience of commodity, it eliminates the hassle of carrying around a Bluetooth and headphones  at the same time, they have a built in microphone which is just grand. Headphones with a cord that fits either the original iPhone or the iPhone 3G, 3GS, Blackberry as well, also provides you with a hang up bottom for your calls. You also receive in the box: A soft carry case in very cool colors (for fashionistas like me who carry their music around), adjustable ear pieces  and a headband in bright green and grey.

I honestly can say I’ve never seen this and was looking forward to trying them when I found out they were used by famous DJ’s such as Josh Madden Kid Fresh (Aerial 7 Ambassador’s) http://www.aerial7.com/ambassadors/josh/

They are very comfortable to wear due to their padding on the top part and earphones which totally isolate every single sound around you. They have a very sharp sound on Skype, iTunes and while using my cellphone – providing ultimate clearness and audio quality at it’s best on all three.  Overall if your looking for something comfortable and best sound quality you should get these. They retail for $90.00 which I consider a good price for the quality of the product, you can find them online at : http://www.aerial7.com/product/CHOPPER2/HYPE/.

The CheapChica’s Guide to Style is a site I visit on a periodic basis and the reason I do so is because it gives me the ‘umph’ I need when it comes to fashion.

I’m unique in the sense that I wear what I like, regardless of who is wearing it, what’s in, what’s not, etc…

There are times when I think to myself ‘damn, i dont watch tv, buy fashion mags, or follow the lives of stars – how the hell am i supposed to know how to look like a hot momma??’ – this is the answer…

by on April 2nd, 2010

Shire

I had the opportunity to review the Shure SRH750DJ Professional DJ Headphones. I am not a DJ though I believe I have great music taste:-).  See the unboxing here. I do however have a turn table and enjoy listening to my orginal vinyl (recently found “Thiller” in the dollar bin). I put on the Shure SRH750DJ Professional DJ Headphones and WOW! The best sound I have had so far for head phones! The Shure SRH750DJ Professional DJ Headphones were so great in sound quality I couldn’t even turn  them up full blast for sake of my hearing.
