Favorite Website of the Week: GroupOn.com – Collective Buying Power

by on January 11th, 2010

GroupOn.com is a website that sends unbeatable daily deals to its subscribers. The deals are “on the best things to do, see, eat, and buy”. The deals are city specific and there are over 40 to choose from.

I recently purchased admission to a speed reading class and paid less than half of its original price. I also purchased $50 of groceries, from FreshDirect.com for only $25. They have deals for the gym, wine tasting, shows, restaurants, etc…

AEE 2010: The Orgasmatron – The Ultimate Head Massager

by on January 11th, 2010

The Orgasmatron, the ultimate head massager is one of my favorite experiences of this weekend. You have most likely seen one before, or something that looks similar and probably did not know what it was so check out their site, or the video to see what it does. It’s name insinuates a lot more than what it really does, but I will not deny that it is one of the most pleasurable items that I found at the AEE. Using multiple ones also rocks – I totally recommend purchasing two!

AEE 2010: The Sunny Tickler

by on January 10th, 2010

Yes – it’s a bit out there and some may be surprised that I am showing this (and I was a bit hesitant) but the time has arrived for empowered women to admit that yes – we have needs. We have needs and they often go ignored because of society’s ‘norm’ or expectations. One day we will all be okay with saying ‘vagina’ without shrieking, and we’ll also be okay with admitting that there is a world out there of sexual gadgets.

While this site will not review sexual gadgets, we will exhibit some of the things that we saw at the AEE. I apologize in advance if anyone feels uncomfortable, or offended from this video and some of the future posts. I do not apologize for showing the content though.

Brilliant Women in Technology: Meet Ann Finnie

by on January 2nd, 2010

Ann Finnie at CESHi CuteGeeks!

We are starting the new year off strong and hope you all are too! We want to introduce our first brilliant woman in technology – Ann Finnie. I met Ann Finnie through blogging, and since then she has truly become an inspiration. She is an amazing woman, who loves her job and her passion can be seen in everything that she does. She is the Worldwide Public Relations Manager for Consumer PCs and Office of the CTO, in the Personal Systems Group, for HP – and we are honored to have her featured as one of our Brilliant Women in Technology! Check out her interview!

-Can you tell us a little about yourself and your background?

I was born and raised in the heart of Silicon Valley, Sunnyvale, CA. Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak actually went to my high school, although they’re a bit older than me so I didn’t know them at that time. In fact, we’ve had several successful graduates from my high school (Homestead High School in Cupertino). Danny Gordon (think Gordon-Biersch beer) was in the marching band at the same time as me. He played the trombone and I played the trumpet.

I attended De Anza College and I graduated from the school of business at San Jose State.
