My name is Daron and I’m new in town, so I wanted to introduce myself and tell you some of the things you can expect from my posts.
Like Radiris, I’m a 2007 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University. I studied Chemical & Biomedical engineering with a little of this and a little of that in between. I grew up in Philly and now live with my 2 cats (altho I’m MUCH more a dog person!) outside of the city, with part-time weekend residence in NYC. I am just making the transition from engineer to project manager in the medical device industry…so you cant actually buy any of the products I have helped design, but if you ever find yourself on an operating table? They are the best! Continue Reading…
Living the advertised life comes with a high price in the US. We see nice things & we want nice things. We get nice things & then we want more nice things. Many of us live within our means, but too many of us don’t know what that means.
CreditKarma.com is here to help – not to make you change your style of living or anything, but to help you keep track of your credit score and finances. There are many tools to help you accordingly plan your financial goals through calculators, credit simulators and also special offers from credit cards.
I visit this site at least on a monthly basis to find out how my ‘score’ is doing.
Although it is a weighted average of your score, and while the site does not require the extensive background check that other websites may ask of you, I guarantee it. There is nothing to lose and a piece of mind and an improved credit score to gain.
Congratulations to all the women, and all of their supporting partners/families/friends who motivate/support them to continue striving for more despite it typically being the road less traveled!
I’ll end this with one of my favorite songs “Anything you can do I can do better; I can do anything better than you…” (Annie Get Your Gun)…Don’t forget it and don’t underestimate us. Continue Reading…
Many of us have multiple email addresses – one we use to sign up for random stuff we really have no interest in, one we use for our resume, an AOL or Hotmail one from the 90′s and then there’s the one we actually like looking at – on a daily basis.
ShopItToMe.com is a website that allows you to pick the brands you like (they have top brands), the items you’re interested in, a specific sex, the price range & the frequency of the notifications. Continue Reading…
I should make them pay me for saying that – that would be a perfect slogan for them!
I have been an avid fan of Canon’s for quite some time now. I love them so much that last August I attempted to buy ‘the cutest’ camera on the market (which was not Canon) and ended up ignoring it because of how unsatisfied I was. In less than 1 month I purchased two digital cameras and I love my PowerShot SD780 IS more than anything in my bag of wonderful gadgets.
Its shots and videos are breathtaking. They capture more greatness than you think. Continue Reading…
Motorola recently sent me a sample of the Motorola Endeavor HX1 bluetooth headset to test out. I have never been one of “those” people that walk around all day with their bluetooth in their ears regardless if they are on the phone or not. I secretly believe these people either think they are (A) important or (B) cool. Let me just inform you that if you are indeed that person you are neither.
That’s right I have now become that annoying person in the line at the grocery store or that person eating alone but chatting on the phone with her little headset in. I do however take it off when I am not on the phone. I may be a tech geek but I do draw the line when it comes to fashion.
