As all you cutegeek fans know we are giving away this cool product named the Olive Opus 4 Hi-FI Music Server. I received a Olive Opus 4 Hi Fi Music Server eval unit so I could let you all know what you may have a chance to win. See my youtube unboxing here.
The set up for the Olive Opus 4 Hi Fi Music Server was pretty simple; plug in AC adaptor, connect your speakers and screw in antenna for wireless connection. As soon as I turned it on I played with the touch screen. I just love touch screens and think every product should have one! I also loved that the color LCD touch screen was just large enough (4.3″ wide aspect ratio and 480 x 272 pixels) to navigate through all the functions (plus I am blind as a bat so it was a nice display). Men and women of this generation are travelers. No matter if you drive 10 minutes or take the subway an hour to work or fly across the country weekly, I bet you have a certain set of gear that you need to transport with you on a routine basis that you can’t carry in your hands, or a shopping bag. And the nature of our technology–the portable laptops, power cords, hard drives, adapters, headsets—coupled with our traveling bodies, necessitates for practical solutions which serve to transport all of our junk from place to place, in order for us to make ends meet.
Now, while there is never a shortage of junk on the market that will allow us the means by which to do this, transport all of our wares, there is a severe shortage of stylin‘ options. Ladies, can I get a “hell yea?” Continue Reading…

On Friday, November 20, I went to WIRED’s media preview day and fell in love as I saw their magazine come to life. WIRED has opened up their 5th annual holiday store in the heart of NYC and they’ve somehow merged the world of geeky technology with the wonderful world of shopping.

Seems like our fingertips are the most lucky things in this world – don’t ‘cha think?
Now there’s yet another gadget just waiting to be touched…FLO TV’s Personal Television…think of a GPS, but instead of directing you to your next destination, this is directing you AWAY from boredom and probably closer to the latest news, sports scores and Adult Swim cartoons.

As I continued to miss my Roxy JBL earbuds (in a lovely shade of pink) I had the opportunity to test out the AKG K321 earbuds. Again I am not a fan of silicon ear pads but I had to give them a try just to make sure I was not judging based on one or two experiences. I received the sky blue color in the nice sleek black box and a cool black pouch (with no zippers…YAY!). I hate dealing with putting small devices in cases with zippers (I have shaky hands) so this was a nice bonus. Nice call AKG!

It’s rare now-a-days I stumble upon a website and think that it’s pretty cool. I recently found out about this unique website called Ustream.tv and had to check it out. Ustream is a live interactive video broadcast website that allows anyone with a camera and internet to broadcast to a worldwide audience. The website was originally started by 2 US Army Officers that wanted to find a way for soldiers to interact live with all their loved ones all at the same time. In 2006 Ustream was born and an instant hit with public figures and celebrities. Some of Ustreams users that are in the public eye (to name are few) are Obama, Hilary Clinton, Ashton Kutcher, Diddy, and many more (not to mention cutegeek)!
I have to admit once I heard about this I was pumped! My parents, siblings, and in-laws back in Texas have web-cams; what took me so long to find Ustream? I also realized I HAD to tell my cousin who recently got deployed to Iraq about this! Imagine how awesome that would be for us family members to keep in touch with her while she is over there (till 2011 I might add)!

As you all know after my Roxy/ JBL earbuds saga I asked around for some new ones to test out. Within 1 day I had 2 new pairs AKG K340 and AKG K321 but they were both the silicon ear pads which I typically do not like. The first ones I tested out fully were the AKG K340. The box was a nice sleek black box and once I opened the box they were nicely laid out. The photos and specifications are listed below.
|Frequency range (Hz-kHz)
