I’ll try to ‘paint the picture’ a bit…It was his birthday…I’m a huge nerd and want all kids around me to be exactly like me so I tried to read him a book, despite being in the middle of a huge park in amazing weather, w/ a bbq going on, a pool to jump in, and tons of cool kids…
He knew what was going on and wondered what the heck was wrong with me…
He spotted my phones…at that time it was the HTC Mogul (thank God it’s gone) and Sanyo’s SCP 2700. He grabbed the Sanyo one first because of its beautiful color, but then he heard a little birdie tell him about all the cool functions the Mogul had, despite it being outdated and beat up so he looked up to see who the source was.
It was me all along…
He decided to give it a shot, since it seemed easy and all the cool kids were doing it…
He quickly grasped the concept of texting…
And spent the rest of his birthday surrounded by presents & people he ignored because of his newly found hobby…TEXTING!
Look at the future of texting…by the time you know it, babies won’t be goo-ing and ga-ing – they’ll be texting us!
