Innex Skins! A Nina CUTEGEEK fan GIVE AWAY!!

skinHello Cutegeek FANS; its rare I get this opportunity but I got some cool skins that frankly will not match with any of my technical devices!  Sorry I am not an iPhone chick nor do I own an Xbox (bummer I know but one does has to stop after having a PSP and PS3; though after E3 I have considered getting a Wii)! 

I talk on the phone way to much so dealing with an iPhone that is anything BUT a phone would piss me off (trust me I tested it out)! I love my iPod shuffle but I need a reliable phone considering I live IN the city and frankly you never know what you may run into while on a random outing. Story of my life recently!

So I have these very vibrant colored skins for an Xbox and for an iPhone.  Whomever replies the quickest that is a TRUE cutegeek fan (prove it to me honey) plus has a funny remark shall get these skins (granted you live in the USA because heck I am not rich and I will be shipping it to you)!

This shall be a true test of who is Nina cutegeek fan! LOL. Game on cutegeekers!

Can You Hear Me? Can You Hear Me Now?

header_05Last month, I began searching for a new place to call home. Criteria that were at the top of my list included large closets, lots of natural light, and proximity to the beach. I’m happy to report that I found a place that met all three criteria. However, there was one key criteria that should have been on my list but wasn’t…cell phone reception.

It wasn’t until I decided to work from home one day that I realized I picked a location that generated only about one or two bars on my AT&T Wireless Blackberry Bold. I experienced dropped calls, “Can you hear me now?” conversations that resulted in the person on the other line hanging up on me, and sometimes the inability to even place a call. It was so bad, I resorted to an almost extinct species in the world of electronics – the home phone. Luckily, I had one, but I thought I’d only be using it to buzz people in from my security gate.

Innex shares success with KIDS IN NEED!!

I love doing charity!  Personally it is one of the most rewarding things to help someone in need!  Unfortunately I tend to just want to help just about everything including abandoned dogs (or dogs wondering around with no owner) but that’s another tale all on its own (I am no longer allowed to work at dog shelters since I want to take every dog home)! 

So this AM I get this press release; nothing like I have seen before (we launched in March so I am sure this isn’t the first charity initiative) and I just had to post it! So here is the press release exactly like I received in my inbox!!

“Videogame Distributor Donates Percentage to Kids in Need Foundation , Helping
Provide Free School Supplies to Impoverished Children”
 
“City of Industry, CA (July, 2009) – Innex, a major distributor of videogame peripherals and accessories, today announced that it has signed a cause marketing license agreement with the KIDS IN NEED FOUNDATION. Marathon Projects Ltd, the licensing agency for the Kids In Need Foundation negotiated the transaction. This will be the latest partnership agreement under the Kids In Need Foundation cause licensing program.”

“Believing that the meaning of success is the ability to help others, Innex, Inc. has announced that it will donate a percentage of its sales revenue to the KIDS IN NEED FOUNDATION, a charity that provides free school supplies to impoverished children. MTV Games and Harmonix Unveil Next 15 Songs Featured In The Beatles™: Rock Band™

Yippee skippy!  I cannot wait till September to get the Beatles Rockband!!!  Always been a huge fan even though I am an 80’s baby, my parents played music from the 50’s and on since I was a child!  Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band is clearly one of my favorite Beatles albums (it helped my parents had the CD)! I recall I use to listen to that CD nightly in high school (unlike everyone else in HS listening to pop rock, no offense I am just an old schooler)!  Till this day I swear I sometimes I start my morning with…

“Woke up, fell out of bed, Dragged a comb across my head. Found my way downstairs and drank a cup, And looking up I noticed I was late. Found my coat and grabbed my hat. Made the bus in seconds flat.” (Beatles Song: A Day In The Life)…and yes I literally sing this with a lil’ dance! I should have a reality show since I am such a dork! I swear I have been meaning to do a youtube of this reenactment! BUT I am hoping one day this song will be available for Rockband!

My IPod Shuffle is Nina certified!

shuffleI was born a klutz, in fact it’s rare that I will not have a bruise on me…I run into door frames frequently.  Also as I am getting older I have developed shaky hands which has been the demise of many of my tech gadgets.  If they only could build a cell phone that once you dropped it; it would bounce back up like a basket ball! Man I should patent that idea!

To be honest I can break anything and I have no idea how it happens! Somewhat like when my dog plays with bugs and then kills them and wonders why they won’t play with her, kinda the way I feel about my gadgets. Once I was vacuuming and I ran over my husband mouse (not a real mouse, computer mouse) cord and the vacuum tore it in half!  I was so distraught!

Cut to me and my pink IPod shuffle (yes I know we all say that we don’t need to have pink products but my favorite color is pink in honor of my grandmother).  My shuffle is used about 4-5 hours a day since I live in the city and walk every where.  Seriously you don’t want me driving since I am a hot mess behind the wheel (I never took the driving portion of drivers ed.).  And yeah I know its not the newest one but frankly I still love it!  (more…)

Optical Technology Developer Sets Sights on Q4 Launch of V-Screen for PSP®

While at E3 I had the chance to play with a PSPat the MTV booth.  It was really cool b/c they set up pods for each person to play the game; no one told me that this was so no one else can hear you playing the game.  So my geeky self goes to one of the pods hell bent on playing Rockband on PSP(I think I have an unhealthy addiction to Rockband, but that’s another topic).  I put on Modest Mouse b/c on drumming its easier then say QOTSA or Foo Fighters plus I never played a PSP before…Before you know “Float on” comes on and I start dancing along with the PSP in hand enjoying myself and having a good old time, so I started dancing along even more!  (more…)

My Xfire Demo in Menlo Park!

At E3 I met the VP of Marketing Matt from Xfire (again cutie!), who explained all the ins and outs of gaming social media.  Sorry ladies I didn’t get a picture…just take my word for it that he is cute in his casual fedora hat!

So per the Xfire.com website “Xfire is a free application that combines multiple gaming tools into one powerful tool to alleviate the need to run multiple different gaming related programs. For instance, Xfire allows you to chat with your friends, see what games they are playing, what servers they are playing on and join them instantly with one click. Review: Sanyo SCP-2700 for Sprint

SANYO SCP-2700When looking at things around you, do you ever wonder “who thought of that?” or “how they’d think of that?” – I do. All the time…Years ago we probably would’ve never expected to have cell phones the way that we do today, and today, so many of us have them, and for different reasons that there are various categories (so to speak) of cell phone users.

Sprint sent CuteGeek the Sanyo SCP-2700. First off, its pink with flower decals. Very cute. Thumbs up. I never considered myself to be that girly, but I would purchase this phone and love it as much as my old gray mogul. I liked the phone’s design a lot. The color was soft and inviting, as if it told you “Come pick me up, I’m great”. The flowers were fun and flirty. The phone is also available in a bright blue, not highlighter blue, but like an electric blue – very nice.
