Why do women bully each other more than they bully men?

The NY Times had an article this week, “Backlash: Women Bullying Women at Work” (sent to me by more than one male friend – go figure), and it brings up many good points regarding the treatment of women, by women, at the workplace. It exhibits what could happen if this negativity didn’t exist. If women didn’t hinder the growth of other women in the workplace there would probably be an increase in the number of successful women.

Review: HP Photosmart A826 Home Photo Center

by on May 14th, 2009

HP Photosmart A826 Home Photo Center with paper tray closedI received the HP Photosmart A826  and frankly I was curious; it was so light weight…what could it be?!  Taa- Daa!  A PRINTER!!!  Now photo printers are like Christmas to me b/c I love taking pics and making cards.

When I unboxed the product (see super cheesy unboxing*) I immediately starting singing “Meet George Jetson…dododododododo…his boy Elroy…daughter Judy.”  The product seemed very futuristic with nice lines and a 7 inch TOUCH SCREEN!  I am in love with touch screens so anything with this feature makes me happy!

Font Fun

by on May 11th, 2009

One of my favorite things to do as a kid was to play around with all of the different font types. And, admittedly, I still do that. I’ve always found fonts to convey so many different things. Arial is so businesslike, Times New Roman is classic. Comic Sans is a little silly and immature, and Futura Black is…well, futuristic.

Review: The “T-Fitness Pro Pack” for the Nintendo Wii Fit

by on May 7th, 2009

I am a Wii-a-holic as my brother, Michael, from HardwareGeeks.com calls me. I use my Wii daily, specifically the Wii Fit, which along with a healthy diet, has helped me lose 23 pounds in the last six months. I’ve been doing it for so long that now I feel like it’s too easy. Luckily for me, my brother recently gave me the T-Fitness Pro Pack .

It’s an interesting product. It has everything I needed for my Wii Board and more. My favorite accessory was the rechargeable battery for the Wii board. The current trend is ‘going green’ and saving money, exactly what the rechargeable battery will allow me to accomplish. This was the first and best part of the package.

Also today The Beatles: Rock Band Pre-Order Club also went live in the U.S. and Canada; which will give fans news and access to exclusive game elements till its launch on 09/09/09.  I suggest anyone to become a member of the club who is interested.

Everybodysafe.com and you may need it!

by on May 5th, 2009

I recently met the co-founder/ co- president of Everybodysafe.com.  This is an emergency alert website that is perfect for singles, frequent travelers or college students that are away from their family and friends! Everybodysafe.com is the only system that works with 411 and 911 plus uses email, text messaging and phone calls to make sure that everyone will be informed. The instructions seemed easy enough; basically potential clients can contact them two simple ways: via their website or by calling 800-399-0295.
